Hi! I’m so glad you found me. Read on to learn a little bit more about me and what brought me to this work. Have more questions?! E-mail me, DM me, book a free discovery call—I’d love to hear from you!
I started my coaching and consulting business after 6 years of working as a commercial litigator in BigLaw—both in NYC and in Denver, CO. I absolutely love coaching; supporting others as they work to heal and grow has been a passion of mine for years. I love helping professionals who do not fit the traditional corporate mold find more confidence and excel in their careers—your voice is so needed! I also teach, write, and lend consulting services to companies who want to fight burnout and improve culture and the employee experience.
My career has not always been this fulfilling. For years, I worked crazy hours on high-profile cases that frequently had millions of dollars at stake. It was intense, but the work was extremely interesting and I was learning a lot. At the time, I was almost solely focused on achieving.
I was a perfectionist, type A, and prided myself on delivering incredible work product. I had been like this for as long as I could remember, and it helped me in a sense; I graduated from NYU in 3 years summa cum laude, and got a full-ride scholarship to the University of Chicago Law School.
But there were many things that held me back, regardless of my skillset. I was struggling with imposter syndrome throughout law school, and that followed me into my career. I was doubting myself and overthinking regularly. I didn’t realize how much of an energy leak that was at the time—especially when added to the normal stress of the job. I also had almost no consistent self-care practices; my idea of self-care was taking a bath with a face mask on once in awhile. I had no idea how to intentionally create confidence, peace, or true well-being in my life. I held myself back from networking and other opportunities because I didn’t feel very comfortable in my skin.
It wasn’t long until these issues snowballed into larger problems. I was frequently feeling burned out at the end of the week. My health started to decline, and I found myself desperately trying to squeeze doctors appointments and physical therapy into my days. I was pushing through it at work, without setting the boundaries I needed or talking to a supervisor about what I was struggling with. I felt that I had to suck it up and keep the “perfect” charade going.
In 2020, I hit a massive wall: extreme burnout. I knew I had to do something—we were mid-pandemic, I had just moved to a new city so I was *very alone,* and I was permanently exhausted. I started examining my thoughts around work + working through my limiting beliefs surrounding perfectionism and imposter syndrome. I also committed to self-care in a whole new way; I figured out how to make self-care effective, and found practices that I could implement sustainably.
It’s hard for me to express how much my life has changed through this work. I feel more confident and I have a sense of self-trust that I never even knew was possible. I stopped seeking validation from external sources and people, and my standards shot up. I began to have dreams for my life that were not even fathomable to me when I was less confident in the woman I really am. I became truly happy with myself and my life.
Part of this work was admitting to myself that practicing law was no longer my dream. Instead, I wanted to help other professionals transform their lives in the same way I did—especially people who don’t feel like the corporate world was made for them. You should be able to climb the corporate ladder—or chase any goal—without sacrificing your mental and physical well-being, and I want to help you lay the foundation for that. I want to support you in loving who you are and feeling empowered to go after everything you’ve ever wanted and needed. So I became a certified life coach and created coaching programs to help you do just that.
Thank you for being here.
